Oxford part 2

EN: A situation not very different from the first one, this time I went to Coventry to pick up an old friend of mine and then drove all the way to Oxford. However, we were lucky enough having a sunny day. So sunny that the weather allowed me to wear a denim skirt and a simple white t-shirt. This time we walked around another side of Oxford. We wanted to see the Library, The Harry Potter Bridge and the Oxford Channel. If you Only have a few hours to spend, want to see Oxford, and of course you don’t want to waste any time on finding a restaurant or a fast food with no queue you will probably end up like me, eating a delicious ice cream.

Firstly we went to see the Covered Market but unfortunately this time there were not any opened stores neither many tourists. From that point, we have arrived in the middle of the people. The Library, The University Church, The Radcliffe Camera, The Bridge of Sights and an old Latin inscribed university building, all of them around us. All around us was a unique view, people who took pictures and some paintings next to a kind man who was doing more of them right then and there.

Well, we took a lot pictures and saw all around this side of the city, the hours passed faster than we expected. So it was time for us to walk to the channel. On our way, a young blind student passionate about differences between English accents shown us that we both learnt the accent from where we live and also the Antony Gormley’s sculpture which few people notice due to the height of the building on which top it is located.

Still talking about this, we have reached the Oxford Channel, where we spent about an hour taking pictures, walking around and looking at the gooses and ducks. About the channel, I have to say just that it is the perfect place for a nice relaxing walk.

Another day in Oxford gone by, and now I am planing my next visit to the Botanic Garden. I’m looking forward for it!

In jurul nostru erau libraria, biserica universitatii, Radcliff-ul, podul si o cladire a universitatii cu inscriptii in limba latina.

Abia astept!
